You can support our first responders by being a second responder.
Fighting this big fight is a labor of love. And we have plenty of it to share around here. Help us get organized for the heavy lifting by adding your name to the SDVolunteers list. Tell us who you are, how to reach you, and what kind of work you are willing to do. We will protect this list, never use it for marketing, never sell or share it. It’s just for the purposes of emergency response.
This is a coordinated drive by the three governments of Saugatuck, Douglas, and Saugatuck Township to help our towns #FlattenTheCurve, or lower the rate of transmission, of the novel coronavirus that results in the dangerous disease COVID-19.
If we each do all we can to lower the transmission rate of this virus, we can avoid overwhelming our first responders and local health care teams, keep them safe and each other safe.
We are constantly monitoring advice from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Michigan’s Department of Health and Human Services to make changes to our own public systems that will best support our citizens.
But our first responders and our schools and government can’t do this alone. We need the help of healthy and willing volunteers to step up and help care for those most vulnerable in this health crisis. If that sounds like you, fill out this form. If that sounds like someone you know, please share this website.
This community has always pulled together in a crisis. It’s time we did again.
